Hillside Farm Bed &
Breakfast
Mount Joy,
Pennsylvania
Historic Bed & Breakfast in
Lancaster Country

Hillside Farm Bed & Breakfast is a farm home
in a peaceful rural
setting featuring an old farmhouse (circa 1863), barn and
other out
buildings. It was once a dairy farm and is still surrounded
by one
of the largest areas of farmland left in Lancaster County
which
guarantees a healthy measure of rest and relaxation. Just a
half
mile down the road is one of the many Amish farms that dot
the
area and a one-room schoolhouse.

There
are five guest rooms, three with private baths and two
that
share a bath. The "Meadowview Room," named for a local
dairy,
has a queen canopy bed and private bath with shower stall.
The
"Sylvan View Room," named for another local dairy, has a
queen
bed and a private bath with tub and shower. The "Sunnyside
Room,"
named for another local dairy, has a queen bed and shares a
full
bath (tub and shower) with the Davis Room. The "Davis
Room,"
named for the original owners of the dairy, has two twin
beds (which
can also be made into a king) and shares the full bath with
the
Sunnyside Room. Also available is "The Loft" on the third
floor
which features a double bed, two twin beds (which can also
be
made into a king), and a private bath with shower
stall.

You will find yourself waking up to the smell of a
full, country,
all-you-can-eat breakfast which is served family-style
every
morning. This could include: Maple Baked Apples;
Buckwheat
Waffles with Homemade Cherry or Blueberry Sauce;
Lancaster
Country Smoked Ham; Lemon Poppyseed Muffins; or
Lancaster
Country Scrapple. Be sure to bring your appetite. Snacks,
including
cookies, pretzels, homemade breads, and a variety of
beverages,
are served all afternoon and evening.
